The garden has been starting to explode with I. purpurea flowers. Flower output has easily quadrupled over last two days. Ipomoea nil seem to be finally starting to produce some flower buds as well.
Interestingly enough, flower production really picked up on the 21st of July (which, coincidentally, is the Belgian national holiday) last year as well. Probably not entirely coincidental since Ipomoea are photo-period sensitive plants. I'm starting to consider the 21st of July to be the official start of flower season (even though I've been seeing flowers for well over month) .
