With a few flowers here and there things are still remarkably quiet among the Japanese morning glories. However, nights are finally sufficiently long and they are starting to load up on flower buds .

The weather has been taking a turn for the worse though. It looks like we'll be experiencing an extended period of cold temperatures and rain.

I will have to start thinking about trying to induce blooming earlier in the season come next year. At this rate seed production will be practically non-existent by the end of the season.
