Started some more varieties today .

- Fuji Murasaki no Fubuki / Purple Blizzard Fuji

- Keiryu / Mountain Stream

- Kikyo, Red Speckled

- Matsukaze / The Wind In The Pines

- Seiryu / Blue Dragon

- Silver Stars

- Ukigumo / Floating Cloud

Ipomoea tricolor:

- Blue Star

- Clark's Blue

- Flying Saucers

- Heavenly Blue

- Pearly Gates

and some Argyreia nervosa.

I'm crossing my fingers for the Dark Purple Black, Silver Stars and Ukigumo varieties. So far I've been having trouble propagating these. They will burst open, usually within 24 hours, but never develop a taproot and just rot after a few days.

I'm also not really expecting the Argyreia seeds to germinate. I've tried quite a few of them last year and had no success even though they were newly bought seeds. They seem old and I've noticed at least some of them are totally dried out.

Same reason I didn't even bother with the Scarlet O'Hara (I. nil) seeds. I must have tried at least 60 of them last year and not a single one germinated

Also, plans are brewing to seriously expand the asagao garden by next year! Stay tuned.

Added is a 3 day old photo of the greenhouse plants. Growth is faster and bigger compared to last year and things are really starting to take off now. The weather has been a lot warmer and drier so far.

As you can see, one of the Grandpa Ott plants is already showing some occasional early flowers. I have another one outside in direct soil doing the same.

I will fix new batteries for the camera ASAP so I won't have to share crappy phone pics anymore.
